An unreliable pale shadow of Bookpedia

I have been using Bookpedia for years and have been quite happy with it. Bookpedia pretty much does what I expect it to and allows manual entry of product codes. DVDpedia does neither. Worse yet, the current version frequently hangs showing “not responding” in system status. When it does work, it appears to be increadibly slow. Yes, my network connection is working just fine. I have over 15Mbps available to me, and I am currently listening to streaming audio. (Yes, DVDpedia is failing when I am not running iTunes.) My network connection is not down. For some unfathonable reason, DVDpedia does not search Amazon and does not appear to be able to deal with Region 0 DVDs. I doubt that it will fuction with region 2 DVDs or any other non-American/Canadian region number.

Note. I have a 13 in Macbook Pro Retna that I bought less than a month ago.
